Angela Wernow, O.D., is a full-scope, California-licensed optometrist with diverse experience in the private, corporate, and clinical sectors of primary care optometry. She is TLG certified and has a special interest in treating and managing common eye diseases. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at UC Davis and went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 2012.

Dr. Wernow is committed to practicing patient-centered care, keeping patients’ concerns as her top priority. She believes one of the most important characteristics of a health care provider is compassion and empathy. She says getting to know her patients motivates her to do her best. She believes one of the best parts of her job is how much she learns from her patients—hopefully as much as they learn from her.

In her spare time, Dr. Wernow enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She also enjoys hiking, hanging out by the beach, visiting museums, and most things outdoors in the great San Diego area. Dr. Wernow is greatly looking forward to meeting you and becoming your local eye care provider.
