Dr. Ashlynne Kim grew up in Orange County, California, where she developed a passion for eye care. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology & Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine, before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry.
Dr. Kim completed clinical rotations at the Veterans Affairs San Francisco Medical Center, various community clinics, and the Veterans Affairs Central California Medical Center. Through these experiences, she gained extensive knowledge in primary eye care, ocular disease, pediatrics, and binocular vision. She also participated in a mission trip to Nicaragua, where she provided eye exams to underserved populations.
Her professional interests include ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses, myopia control, and dry eye treatment. In her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever, weight lifting, and playing the guitar.
