A New Jersey native, Dr. Camara relocated to California with his family, where he completed both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees. He joined the Cal Eye team in 1998 and has been serving as our first and current Director of Optometry since 2008. He is passionate about providing advanced optometric care to his patients, specializing in advanced contact lens fitting. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, kayaking, playing volleyball, and attending cultural and art events. Additionally, he holds a California Real Estate license.
