Dr. Francisco Pabalan, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in Refractive Cataract Surgery in which cataracts are not only removed, but vision restored to an earlier time in life when patients could enjoy the outdoors, play sports, drive, read or see the cell phone without dependence on glasses. Dr. Pabalan is also certified in Omni Viscodilation and Hydrus microstent implantation to treat glaucoma in combination with cataract surgery. As a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Dr. Pabalan is constantly keeping up with the very latest in medical and technological advances in eye care.
When Dr. Pabalan has time off, he enjoys playing his violin, which he has studied for over 6 decades. He finds that the discipline needed to achieve the reward of fine music is much like the discipline in eye surgery needed to produce fine vision. He directed his church choir for 22 years and still partakes in the liturgical music program, as he has for 49 years. Dr. Pabalan plans to spend his ‘retirement’ years doing missionary eye care, spending time with his wife and family of 6 children, hitting the beach, traveling far and wide, going to concerts, and of course, playing his violin.
