Joni Lu, D.O.

Joni Lu was born in New Port Richey, FL, and was raised in a small town where she developed a love for softball, quality family time, and scrapbooking. Her own early need for glasses sparked a lifelong interest in eye care, leading her to a career in ophthalmology. Dr. Lu completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular Biology & Microbiology with a minor in Psychology at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. She pursued her medical education at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. Following medical school, Dr. Lu undertook her internship year and ophthalmology residency at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, where she was appointed Chief Resident of Ophthalmology in her final year. She is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery (AOBOO-HNS).

Dr. Lu is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). Dr. Lu is committed to offering highly personalized care in a boutique medical practice setting. She specializes in the prevention and treatment of various eye conditions, including dry eye disease, macular degeneration, cataracts, and issues related to diabetes and glaucoma.
