Rex Villegas, O.D., FAAO

Dr. Rex B. Villegas, a native California from Cerritos, CA, is the Chief Optometry Director at Azul Vision. His clinical interests include the medical treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Villegas completed his undergraduate studies at UCSD, followed by receiving his Doctor of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He completed multiple internships in Florida before moving to California to complete a hospital-based residency at VA West Los Angeles Healthcare Center. Dr. Villegas is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and adjunct clinical faculty for two optometry colleges. Dr. Villegas has completed multiple licensures and certifications and currently coordinates the Los Angeles chapter of Azul Vision’s residency program.

In his spare time Dr. Villegas enjoys learning more about wine and bourbon, and he is an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins football team.
